- AP United States History is an introductory survey course that examines US History from the colonial
period to the present day.
- Students will develop an understanding of how historians reconstruct past events through
the use of primary documents, secondary sources, and the historiography of the time period.
- While we will look at
numerous themes and events throughout the course of this class, the major focus for the AP exam will be analyzing
these events through the use of primary documents and secondary sources in order to be sufficiently prepared to successfully
complete the AP exam in May.
